After you are comfortable that everyone has signed your guest book platter (or signature plate), allow the platter to fully air dry for at least 24 hours. Baking: Step 2. Bake the platter directly on a clean oven rack for 30-35 minutes at 300 degrees fahrenheit. Do not bake at any higher temperature as you may burn the ink. Burned ink on your signature platter will permanently appear brown and discolored. Baking: Step 3. After correctly baking, the colors on your guest book platter will have a glossy, enamelled finish. Note that a few of the colors we use are of a matte finish. After baking, your platter can be used to serve food if you wish but, you should not rebake with it. Be aware that sharp serving utensils may scratch the colors off of your signature plate or platter. The signature platter can be put in the dishwasher but, we recommend that you instead carefully hand wash it, if necessary. Since your platter is really meant as a keepsake item, we suggest that you opt to proudly display it for years of enjoyment rather than serving with it.
